Marian Manor Child Development and Learning Center
Established in 1992 in Pittsburgh’s Green Tree neighborhood, the Marian Manor Child Development and Learning Center is committed to the development of the whole child; socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We have a deep respect for the potential of all children. We will provide rich environments, which are engaging, welcoming, organized and supportive of the work of the children and educators. We believe children learn best through play, creative expression, music, participating in hands-on activities while having fun and when given the opportunity to make choices. Our essential goals are creativity, experimentation, coping skills, critical thinking and problem solving. We respect the uniqueness and privacy of each family and child.
We are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare’s Office of Child Development and participate in the Keystone Stars quality enrichment program. This is a voluntary quality initiative that requires child care centers to meet specific standards that are over and above the state’s licensing requirements in order to move through their program.
Marian Manor Child Development and Learning Center accepts children without regard to race, color, religious creed, disability, ancestry, national origin, age, sex or limited English proficiency.
Child Care Ages & Hours
We serve children ages 6 weeks to 6 years and are open Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location
We are located on 26 green acres in the Green Tree section of Pittsburgh as part of the Marian Manor nursing facility campus. The Child Care Center is located on the ground floor of C Building. Enter from Green Tree Road by turning left on Greenboro Lane, which is next to Green Tree Hardware.
We boast large, age appropriate classrooms and a variety of indoor and outdoor play areas, which are divided for use by age groups.
The Parent–Child Care Relationship
We believe in collaborating with parents/guardians so that, together, we may provide the highest quality infant and child care. Open lines of communication are imperative and maintained at all times. Parents are our most valuable assets and most effective partners. We are excited to meet you and welcome you to experience our program!
