Clients pay for their care at a Vincentian Collaborative Services facility through a variety of methods. These all fit, however, into three major categories.

Private financingIndividuals often have the personal financial
resources to pay for all or part of the necessary care

Private insurance
Some individuals have previously purchased long-term–policies, offered by many insurance companies, that subsidize all or part of their cost of care when it becomes necessary

Government programs
Most individuals are eligible for aid provided by local, state, and federal government agencies. Such aid includes, but is not limited to:

MedicareFederal insurance for those over the age of 65
• Part A—covers costs for facilities and their services
• Part B—covers costs for physicians and medical services; a fee is charged for Part B coverage

MedicaidA joint federal and state medical assistance program that is needs-based
