Vincentian Child Development Center
Established in 1972 in Pittsburgh’s North Hills, the mission of Vincentian Child Development Center is to create a secure and nurturing environment for children, provide the highest quality care, and offer opportunities for individualized learning. We offer more than a typical child care or day care. We minister to the intellectual, social, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the children in our care, preparing them for successful participation in later educational experiences and encouraging them to be responsible and respectful persons.
We are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, participate in the Keystone Stars quality enrichment program, and are members of PAEYC (Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children).
Child Care Ages & Hours
We serve children ages 6 weeks to 6 years and are open Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location
We are located on a large grassy campus at the corner of McKnight and Peebles, next to Vincentian Academy high school. Enter off Peebles Road across from the McIntyre Square shopping center.
We boast large, age appropriate classrooms and a day care-designed building that offers plenty of room for a variety of play and learning activities.
The Parent–Child Care Relationship
We believe in collaborating with parents/guardians so that, together, we may provide the highest quality infant and child care. Open lines of communication are imperative and maintained at all times. Parents are our most valuable assets and most effective partners. We are excited to meet you and welcome you to experience our program!
